Daytime Fencing

The Leon Paul Fencing Centre allows anyone to come and fence at the centre during the day. Pistes are almost always available from 9am weekday mornings until 5pm in the evening.

Fencers can pay a daily visitors fee or regular daytime fencers can take out a monthly membership.

The Fencing Centre has 12 competition pistes and 12 training pistes making a total of 24 pistes.

Competition Pistes

17x1.5m conductive piste Suspended 3-weapon FIE scoring box (SG31) with remote control showing score & time. Repeater lights at both ends Olympic style floor lighting

Training Pistes

17 x 0.75m conductive piste Wall mounted 3-weapon score box (SG11) Repeater lights at opposite end

Venue Hire

The Leon Paul Fencing Centre can be hired out in full or part for fencing competitions, university matches, training days and corporate events. Please contact the Centre directly for further information and prices.

Competitions

With 12 full size conductive competition pistes set up ready with FIE scoring boxes it is idea for running fencing competitions without the need to hire extra kit or require any set up time

University/BUCS Matches

Single competition pistes set up ready for team matches are available and ideal for universities to use for their BUCS matches

Training

The additional 12 conductive training pistes makes The Leon Paul Fencing Centre a perfect facility for training days and camps with a total of 24 fencing strips available for use.

Fencers must pay before they start fencing. Payment can be made in the Fencing Centre office or shop.

Coaches & Lessons

The Leon Paul Fencing Centre does not charge the coach for giving an individual lessons to a fencers during the day.

The fencer receiving the lesson must either be a member of the centre or pay the daytime visitor fee.
